Head to head
Head to head
Five pairs, chosen because they are the ones where the two entries are genuinely close enough that a comparison does some work. Each one was written on its own rather than produced from a template.
- Nexus or TorZonLitecoin and a smaller set against an extra year and five addresses.
- Nexus or AnubisA year of record against one more coin at checkout.
- TorZon or BlackOpsFive addresses and a choice of coin against Monero and nothing else.
- WeTheNorth or NexusThe oldest and regional against the middle aged and global.
- Awazon or OsirisIdentical on every checkable fact, and that is the finding.
Why there are five and not thirty six
Nine markets make thirty six pairs, and a site could publish all of them. It would be a bad site. A generated comparison ends up saying the same four sentences about every pair with the names swapped, which is obvious after the second page and useless on the first.
These five are the pairs where the two entries are close on the checkable facts, so there is an actual question to answer. The rest are either not close, in which case the market pages already tell you, or identical, in which case no comparison can separate them.
The pair that is missing on purpose
Nexus and Mars are identical on every fact this catalogue checks, so they are not compared here. A page claiming to separate them would be inventing the difference, and that is the exact failure mode this section exists to avoid.
What every comparison here uses
| Fact | What it decides |
|---|---|
| Year of arrival | How much has happened to it |
| Coins accepted | Whether it takes what you hold |
| Published address count | How much room it has when one is unusable |
| Language and region | Who it is aimed at |
That is the whole toolkit. Anything beyond it would be a market quoted about itself, and a comparison built on two self descriptions is a comparison of two marketing pages.
What to do when a comparison does not settle it
Keep both. That sounds like a dodge and it is the correct answer more often than picking, because two accounts cost nothing to hold and a single market is a single point of failure. The comparison then stops being about which to use and becomes about which to reach for first, which is a much smaller decision.
Pairs that are not worth comparing
| Pair | Why a page would be padding |
|---|---|
| Two markets identical on all four facts | Nothing to compare. Awazon, Osiris and Crown are one such group |
| Two markets differing only on coin | Answered by which coin you hold, in one line |
| A regional market against a global one | Answered by where you are, before anything else |
