The address set is unusual and worth looking at
Seven of the nine markets here publish addresses that begin with their own name. Anything starting with the letters of a brand was generated deliberately, because producing an address with a chosen opening costs computing time and nothing else.
WeTheNorth does not do that. All three of its addresses instead share the same eight opening characters, which spell nothing. That is still a chosen prefix, just not a word, and it has a practical consequence: you cannot recognise one of these by reading a familiar word at the front, so there is nothing to lean on except comparing the whole string.
Why no vanity name is not a downside
That turns out to be a small advantage. A vanity prefix trains readers to accept an address because the front looks right, and the front is the cheapest part for somebody else to reproduce. A set with no readable word in it forces the comparison that should be happening anyway.
Who it suits
- Anyone who wants the longest track record here. Five years of continuous operation is not a guarantee of anything, and it is the one property that cannot be faked with money.
- Anyone who needs French. It is the only entry on this site presented bilingually.
- Anyone in Canada. A regional market means shorter internal distances and a smaller, more consistent set of participants.

What none of this tells you
Nothing about how it behaves today. Age describes the past and stops predicting the moment somebody decides the future will be different, and that decision is invisible from outside. Regional focus says who it is aimed at, not who is actually there. Coin support is a claim on a page. The only thing that settles whether the address you opened belongs to this market is a signed statement checked against a fingerprint you gathered somewhere else.
